Commitment

1 Cor. 9:17 "For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is Committed unto me."

Commitment before God in the biblical sense, is the conviction and trust to which a man is urged or driven forward by the exertion of strong moral pressure of an inner and higher prerogative and law of soul. (Strongs)

James 5:8 ”You also be patient. "Establish Your Hearts", for the coming of the Lord is at hand.”

Establish: Gr. ( literally) to Turn Resolutely in a Certain Direction.
1. To Make Stable, Place Firmly, set fast, fix to strengthen, make firm, to render constant, Confirm One's Mind.

In other words, You have made up your mind, and Set a Course of direction and Action that You won't Change from! You have made up you mind that you are going to live God's Way! This is what we call "Setting a marker" in your life; "Driving a stake down", or "Drawing a Line!" These are Landmark places in our lives.

Pr. 22:28 "Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set."In today's world so many are afraid of the word Commitment. Loyalty seems a thing of the past..

Dan. 3:17,18; 27,29 "The three Hebrews Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were a Committed group of men that remained loyal to the commands of God regardless of the consequences! The outcome? Death Defying Protection that surrounded their lives, and caused a Kingdom to turn toward God!
